Pastoral

At Furness Academy we have a strong Pastoral Care system overseen by the Director of Student Engagement and Achievement ,Heads of Student Engagement and Standards and a team of Learning Group Leaders.  When students arrive at the Academy they are placed into a Learning Group.

The Learning Group Leaders are the first point of contact for students, parents and carers.

The Learning Group meets daily in the morning for registration and it is the Learning Group Leader who monitors the students’ academic performance, attendance and behaviour.
