History

In the History Department there are three members of staff - Miss Smith and Mrs Warbrick & Miss Douglas, who is the Subject leader.

At Key Stage 3 you will study a wide range of topics which includes The Romans, The Battle of Hastings, The Slave Trade, The Tudors, The Stuarts, The Plains Indians, The Twentieth Century World and some Local History Projects.

At Key Stage 4 there are two routes you can follow.  Firstly, you can follow the Upgrade Course which is designed to develop your general historical skills along with improving literacy. 
Secondly, you can study GCSE History.  In this option area you will focus on Germany 1918-1945, Medicine and Treatment 1350-Present Day, The Vietnam War and Surgery Developments 1845 - 1918. 

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Leeds Medical Museum.
