Additional Needs

The department is further supported by a team of thirty three Teaching Assistants. 
Furness Academy believes that each student should be provided with an appropriate and rich educational experience.  We actively promote the inclusion of each and every child.  The growth of self-belief / self-esteem for students requiring additional support is uppermost in our priorities and we aim for students to develop as confident and independent learners as well as being happy young people equipped for life beyond the Academy.
