We are looking for a talented and inspiring Modern Foreign Languages Teacher who can offer French and Spanish, who is able to teach across the whole ability range and age range. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic professional with excellent subject knowledge and a strong desire to engage students in learning. You will be someone who can make an impact to the teaching in the Academy by leading by example as well as being supportive of other colleagues’ development in the department.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design & Technology Technician to join our Design & Technology Team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • co-ordinate use of practical resources and facilities, provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the curriculum
  • Supervise and direct learning activities of groups of students to ensure safety and contribute to their educational development
  • contribute to students’ assessment
  • monitoring and review of health & safety procedures
  • Safe disposal of materials, including hazardous substances
  • contribute to design, development and maintenance of specialist resources
  • stock control and ordering of consumable and non-consumable materials
  • line manage other technicians
  • organise and supervise the work of other technicians
  • inform Head of Department of any necessary repairs to the fabric of the department
  • attend staff meetings as required
  • participate in personal staff development/appraisal process

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent essential; A level or equivalent desirable

Previous caretaking experience is not essential as full training will be given.
