Teaching Assistant

Salary NJC 5 £18,795 pro rata
Temporary Post, Part Time 31 hours per week, Term Time Only 39 weeks/year

Furness Academy are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to work as a Temporary Teaching Assistant covering a maternity leave due to end on 12th March, 2021. The successful candidates will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching and senior staff to undertake work/ care/ support programmes to enable access to learning for students, and to assist teachers in the management of the students both inside and outside the classroom.

You will:

  • Promote and enhance the learning and teaching experiences of students with SEND in a range of different contexts including in class support.
  • Plan and deliver interventions to individuals or focus groups and assess and monitor the impact of the provision.
  • Hold and NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or have experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Have experience of planning and delivering interventions.
